All the Project beneficiaries meet in Malaga on 23rd and 24th of February 2016 for the first annual Meeting of the FRESH-DEMO Project. After welcoming the FRESH-DEMO van filled with humidified and treated strawberries, the Project beneficiaries started with an intensive Project Meeting.
The Progress and achievements from the 1st year were presented:
- the characterized end-user requirements regarding humidification/acidification systems for fruit & vegetable were described
- the selection of natural acidifier and the Integration with the ultrasonic humidification Technology to treat fruit & vegetable were presented
- the accordingly developped technical design as well as the up-scaling and the construction of the prototypes was presented
Furthermore, the implementation of 3 main case studies under real conditions along the complete supply chain of selected fruit & vegetable was discussed in Details.
The FRESH-DEMO van will mirror the Transport from the Producers to the retailers to be able to compare directly the Waste redustion Quality improvement of selected fruit & vegetables via the FRESH-DEMO Technology.
